We are extremely disappointed with our recent order. The chicken Parmesan with vodka sauce was clearly overcooked and tasted like it had been reheated. The garlic knot pizza also tasted old, and the cheese and crust were nothing like the fresh pizza we’ve ordered from this restaurant before. We’ve had their pizza when it was fresh, so we know the difference. This time, it was obvious something was off.When we called the owner, he insisted he personally made the pizza and said it had only been out of the oven for three minutes. Instead of listening to our concerns, he blamed the hot weather for the pizza’s appearance. Unfortunately, that doesn’t explain why the food tasted stale and overcooked. What disappointed us most wasn’t just the food, it was the lack of accountability and concern for a returning customer. We expected much better based on our previous experiences. Sadly, this will be our last time ordering from here. By the way, the highlighted circle in the photo shows what a fresh garlic knot pizza is supposed to look like versus what we’ve received.

This place was recommended to me by a friend of mine and I had to try it out when I was in town!!! Tommy was fantastic and him and his team made some fantastic food! Some of the best pizza and wings that I've had!!! The service was fast and meaningful. The staff was terrific! If you have the chance please check them out!

Ordered a personal pepperoni pizza with fries and chicken wings. The place looks nice and has great atmosphere and the people are very welcoming and nice. Unfortunately their food is not so welcoming. The pizza sauce tastes like it came from a big factory manufacture so it taste similar to gas station pizza sauce. The fries were frozen and not flavorful or anything crazy. The chicken is not good very chewy and too big to be natural chicken. Over this place has great potential but not a lot of care goes into to the food.

I ordered the Thai chili chicken, and it was good. I’m not a big chicken fan so I did not like the chicken on it. Definitely will be getting it with no chicken next time/ I hope they have have just Thai chili pizza. The garlic knot was not good , very basic. I will definitely be trying other things form them.

The other day I got, Avenue Pizza, for dinner. I ordered their Chopped Cheese w/ French Fries, & their Avenue Salad w/ Shrimp. This place is fantastic! The Chopped Cheese was highly delectable. Absolutely loved the way the cheese melted into the burger. The meat was extremely tasty, and loved the addition of the lettuce, tomato, and onion. The French Fries were ok. Tasted like plain fries (Not a huge fry person in general). Their Avenue Salad was phenomenal! It comes with baby greens, onions, tomatoes, roasted peppers, fresh mozzarella with a balsamic vinaigrette. Absolutely loved the combo! It was a terrific addition to add shrimp too! All of the veggies and the shrimp were extremely fresh, and had excellent flavor. I would HIGHLY recommend, Avenue Pizza, to anyone in the Newark/Belleville area. Can not wait to try their other dishes 🙏🏽
